College and career

CATC helps students think big about life after high school. Colleges and employers give presentations and accept applications, and CATC students who graduated in prior years return to tell their stories.

Students learn about offerings from area colleges and can apply for programs ranging from liberal arts to specialties such as culinary arts, advertising art, nursing and health, and information technology.

A full week of college tours in April takes students to area colleges for a glimpse of campus life and presentations by college staff and students.

Through Bridging the Gap, a jobs program designed specifically for them, CATC students can apply for career positions. The program has begun with area hospitals and over time will expand to employers in other industry sectors where skilled-worker shortages are anticipated.
