The new semester is well under way and the lesson of this semester’s study theme, “The Top 10,” is that the principles of art can be applied to other academic subjects, to work and to one’s life in general. Whether they’re learning how to operate the potter’s wheel like these students watching a demonstration by instructor Jamie Rahe, or creating art in glass or any other CATC studio, there are ten basic principles of art that the students are studying and applying to their work and lives.  For example, technique: Where in one’s life and in what profession is technique important? Proportion: In what aspects of work and life does one need to consider the relationship of the parts to the whole?   Read about the 10 areas.
