Sarah Keefe

 Digital multi-media instructor

” I believe what Dostoevsky said, that the world will be saved by beauty. CATS gives students the tools they need to succeed in life even as their art engages them in the beauty of this world. It is an honor for me to be here and part of that process.”

Background

Sarah Keefe believes in acting as a partner in learning with her students and that, by working side-by-side with them, listening and observing as well as teaching, she learns as much from her students as they learn from her.
Sarah’s recent work has been exhibited at the Contemporary Arts Center and at Northern Kentucky University’s “Digitorium,” where emerging digital technologies are used to enhance classes, live performances and events. Her recent work uses digital media including video and photography to focus on sociological aspects of society in rural parts of upstate New York. In other recent work, she takes a bold look at various perspectives on World War II, interviewing c a holocaust survivor and a German who was forced to serve in the Hitler youth movement.
