Summer was career preparation time for BTG students

Students in the CATC workforce development program Bridging the Gap spent the summer preparing for careers.  They have been training since January for jobs in health care, advanced manufacturing, banking and other sectors where area employers need workers.

Top row:  Bridging the Gap students have completed their job readiness workshop at Cincinnati Works. They  took time to plan their next steps, then received gift bags and certificates in a ceremony at Cincinnati Works.

Middle row:  Bridging the Gap students who plan to apply at area hospitals for jobs as nurses’ assistants  train for their STNA (State Tested Nursing Assistant ) certification at RN & Associates.

Bottom row:  BTG students in the advanced manufacturing career track are trained at Easter Seals Tri-State, joining adults in classroom work as well as getting first-hand experience on the manufacturing floor.
